The JJ Electronic 12AX7 / ECC83 has quickly become a modern classic in preamp tubes. Its rugged design and rich harmonics make this tube an obvious choice for musicians who need a reliable and high quality tube at a reasonable price. The balanced tone of the JJ 12AX7 works well in any amp.

A good choice for phase inverters, reverb drivers, and general preamp use. This tube offers low noise, low microphonics, and warm smooth tones at a great price. Like all JJ tubes, it has a rugged construction that doesn’t compromise the sound of your amp. The JJ 12AT7 is a solid replacement for any 12AT7, ECC81, or 6201 tube. It can also be used to replace 12AX7 tubes in position 1 to reduce gain.

A dual triode that can be used in place of most 12AX7 circuits. In the 12DW7/ECC832, Section 1 of the tube (pins 6, 7, and 8) is the high gain 12AX7/ECC83 spec (gain factor 100) and Section 2 (pins 1, 2, and 3) is the low gain 12AU7/ECC82 spec (gain factor 17).

Mullard 12AX7 / CV4004 dual triode preamp tube. Made in Russa. The CV4004/12AX7 is a high gain, low noise valve with a short plate structure for reduced microphonics. Excellent for use in high gain Marshall pre-amplifier circuits where noise and microphonics can be a problem. Great for guitar amps.

9 pin miniature preamp tube (Amplification Factor = 100). This Russian tube is full bodied and well balanced. It has a high gain with a very smooth presentation. In overdrive, it is not quite as defined as the 12AX7-S-JJ, but it offers more crunchy fizz.
