2N2430 NPN germanium transistors. The 2N2430 is a popular NPN for fuzz pedals and other effects. The NPN polarity allows for use with standard pedal power supplies.

The BC209C is a silicon NPN transistor in a TO-106 case. The BC209C is primarily intended for general purpose audio applications. BC209C transistors were used in original silicon Fuzz Face® pedals as well as a variety of D*A*M pedals.

2N4061 PNP transistors. This is a silicon PNP transistor in a TO-92 package. The 2N4061 has been used in a variety of effects pedals and is most notably used in the Zonk Machine II.

NTE123 NPN silicon transistors. The NTE123 is a popular NPN for fuzz pedals and other effects. This transistor is in a TO-5 package. The NTE123 was used in the Texas Square Face made by Cesar Diaz, the famous amp tech who worked with Stevie Ray Vaughan and others. Early in his career, SRV had a broken Fuzz Face pedal and took it to Cesar Diaz to have him fix it. Diaz fixed and modified the pedal and this became the foundation of his famous version which he named the Texas Square Face. The Diaz pedals often came socketed and included a set of NTE123 along with the standard pair of P-QNTE103 to experiment with the different sounds of the transistors.

2N508 PNP germanium transistors. The 2N508 is a popular PNP for fuzz pedals and other effects. It can be found in modern classics such as the Sunface. This transistor is in a TO-5 package with long leads commonly found on germanium transistors.

Surface mount MMBFJ201 JFETs presoldered to TO-92 adapter boards. Use wire, clipped component leads, or pin headers to easily attach these adapters to PCBs using TO-92 footprints for J201s. These JFETs can be found in many effects pedals, synthesizers, and other projects. The J201 / MMBFJ201 is an N-Channel general purpose amplifier JFET. This device is designed primarily for low level audio and general purpose applications with high impedance signal sources. The pinout is marked on the PCB and is DSG when facing the component side.

SFT353 PNP germanium transistors. The SFT353 is a popular PNP for fuzz pedals and other effects. This transistor is in a 18B4 package with long leads commonly found on germanium transistors. This style of package can be found in Italian built Vox Tonebenders.

2N5459 N-channel JFET in a TO-92 package. The 2N5459 is an N−channel junction field effect transistors, depletion mode (Type A), designed for audio and switching applications. Features

OC46 PNP germanium transistors. The OC46 is a popular PNP for fuzz pedals and boost effects. It can be found in vintage electronics and modern fuzz pedals. This transistor is in a black glass SO-2 package with long leads commonly found on germanium transistors.

General purpose low-power NPN bipolar junction transistor, used frequently in hobbyist electronic projects. This version is lead free.

The BC337 is a silicon general purpose NPN transistor in a TO-92 package. The BC337’s typical applications include signal processing, amplification, and switching. Alternistors are specifically designed for applications which are required to switch highly inductive loads. To accomplish this, a special chip has been designed which effectively offers the same performance as two thyristors (SCRs) wired inverse parallel (back to back); hence the alternistor has better turn-off behavior than a standard triac.

This package with the gold leads visually matches the 2G308, 2G309, and 2G381 transistors found in Zonk and Tonebender MKI fuzz pedals.

The 2N2907 is a silicon planar epitaxial PNP transistor in a TO-18 metal case type. The 2N2907 is designed for use in high speed saturated switching and general purpose applications.

The 2N4123 is a general purpose silicon NPN transistor in a TO-92 case. The 2N4123 is primarily intended for general purpose amplification. It is a popular choice for silicon fuzz pedals due to its low hFE specifications.

The 2N2369 is a silicon NPN transistor in a TO-18 metal case type. The 2N2369 is primarily intended for use in high speed switching and VHF amplification applications.
