SPST(single pole,single throw) normally open, Off-(On) momentary foot switch with solder lugs and soft switching. These high quality switches feature a black actuator, bushing and mounting hardware. Depressing the switch shorts the lugs together and when the switch is released it returns to its non connected state with no click.

1N60 point-contact germanium diodes in a DO-7 package. 1N60 diodes were used in many vintage electronics and also make for great clipping diodes in stompbox effects pedals.

Standard size terminal strips, 1/16" thick bakelite, tin plated steel solder lugs and brackets. 8 lugs, first and eighth lug common.

Three conductor Flexstrip ribbons cables. These ribbons feature a nomex insulator so there are no melting issues when soldering. Unlike typical ribbon cables, the wires are designed to distribute the stress of the bend and vibrations throughout the entire cable rather than directly on the solder joints. These cables are a great choice for PCB to PCB connections in pedals, synths, and other electronics. The spacing is .1" (2.54mm).

LM311 single comparator IC in an 8-pin DIP package. The LM311 device is a single high-speed voltage comparator. These devices are designed to operate from a wide range of power supply voltages, including ±15-V supplies for operational amplifiers and 5-V supplies for logic systems. The output levels are compatible with most TTL and MOS circuits. These comparators are capable of driving lamps or relays and switching voltages up to 50 V at 50 mA. All inputs and outputs can be isolated from system ground. The outputs can drive loads referenced to ground, VCC+ or VCC−. Offset balancing and strobe capabilities are available, and the outputs can be wire-OR connected.

High-quality Bourns 3296Y trimpots. These sealed cermet trimmers have 25 turns for precision setting. ±10% tolerance.

Zonk II style circuit board made with a phenolic substrate for an even closer match to the vintage production boards. Phenolic boards are found in many vintage electronics before the use of fiberglass became common. This board is a recreation of the circuit board found in the Zonk II pedal. The board is styled after the version that featured silicon transistors and a printed circuit rather than a stripboard construction. It is actually a cut down version of the Shatterbox PCB using only the fuzz side of that pedal. When drawing the layout, original boards were closely referenced to ensure a proper match and fit. The copper traces have a surface treatment providing protection from corrosion. This board includes a blank mounting PCB. This PCB sits directly beneath the main board to mount it directly to the enclosure using screws. 2N5458 N-channel JFET in a TO-92 package. The 2N5458 is an N−channel junction field effect transistors, depletion mode (Type A), designed for audio and switching applications. Features

The BC181 is a general purpose PNP transistor manufactured by Texas Instruments. This low-power PNP bipolar junction transistor is in a TO-92 case.

High-quality USA made knobs from Davies Molding. The 8000 series knobs are made of solid phenolic and feature a classic teardrop design. Linear taper, vertical mount, Alpha pots with a 6.35mm shaft diameter featuring 11 detents across the rotation. The 11 detent versions are useful for builds where 1-10 settings are commonly used or if the pot is used as a rotary switch along with a microcontroller. 16mm solid shaft linear potentiometers. These pots are great for any project. The smaller size is useful for builds with limited panel space such as guitar pedals, synthesizer modules, and adding modifications to equipment. Washer and nut included.

This board is a recreation of the MKI circuit board found in early Tone Bender pedals. When drawing the layout, an original board was closely referenced to ensure a proper match and fit. Since the MKI boards were hand drilled, the holes have an organic layout that was somewhat unique to each build. This board follows the exact hole pattern of one of these original builds. The build style is also fairly unique in the MK1. It is a point to point style board without eyelets or turrets. The leads of the parts are wrapped upward around the edge of the board and then solder is applied to connect the components. 4.72" x 3.70" x 2.1" (119mm x 94mm x 56mm) diecast aluminum enclosure. Equivalent to the Hammond 1590C enclosure. This enclosure is a taller version of the 1590BB allowing for more vertical space for larger projects.

LM386 Low Voltage Audio Power Amplifier The LM386 is a mono low voltage amplifier that can be used in a variety of applications. It can drive loads from 4 Ω to 32 Ω. The gain is internally set to 20 but it can be modified from 20 to 200 by placing a resistor and capacitor between pins 1 and 8. As this is an Op Amp it can be used in different configurations to fit in several applications. The internal gain setting resistor allows the LM386 to be used in a very low part count system. In addition a series resistor can be placed between pins 1 and 5 to modify the gain and frequency response for specific applications. These are found in many small audio amplifiers and even tiny pedal sized guitar amplifiers! There are tons of possibilities for this little Op Amp.

High-quality USA made knobs from Rogan Corp. These large, puck-shaped, skirted pointer knobs from Rogan’s PT Series feature a soft rubber grip molded over a solid polymer knob. PT Series knobs can be found on synthesizer modules from Make Noise, Mutable Instruments and others. Fits 6mm D-shafts.
