The Tube Amp Doctor KT-66 is an incredible remake of the classic British tube. With its large glass envelope contoured by smooth curves tapering into a rounded brown base, the TAD KT-66 not only looks like the original, it performs like the original. This KT66 offers plenty of headroom for a thick full bodied sound with smooth yet articulate highs. The KT-66 is famously used in vintage British plexi amps and makes a great replacement for that style of amplifier and many others. The TAD KT66 is matched for both plate current and transconductance and passes all of the tests of the TAD Premium Selection process. The TAD KT-66 can be used in any KT-66 position as well as 6L6GC and 5881 amps that can supply the required 1.27A for the heater.

The vintage made in England Mullard ECC83 has been accurately recreated in the Tube Amp Doctor 7025 S. This highly sought after tube is regarded by many as the best dual triode to have ever been created for audio use. TAD offers a reliable and affordable way to experience the sound of this legendary tube.



The 7025 S is notable for its rich and complex harmonics. The warmth in the midrange of this tube stands out among similar preamp tubes. The TAD 7025 has nice round clean tones as well as a creamy yet articulate overdrive. Its rugged mechanical construction with extra thick mica spacers along with TAD’s premium selection process ensures a highly reliable preamp tube. Tube Amp Doctor especially recommends the 7025 S for use in British and British style amplifiers.

The Tube Amp Doctor EF86 / 6267 is a low noise and low microphonic version of the vintage pentode. These tubes were famously used in classic HiFi equipment and microphone preamps. The original Vox® AC15 circuit also used an EF86 and now, thanks to its recent availability, there are plenty of options for guitar amplifiers utilizing this unique tube.

The TAD EF86 / 6267 meets all of the standards of the Tube Amp Doctor Premium Selection process. This tube has a rugged construction featuring an aesthetically pleasing perforated shield. The TAD EF86 / 6267 will work in and EF86 or 6267 position.
