The Grover® 138 Series deluxe machine heads are mounted three to a plate for the vintage look that has been popular for decades. The stamped back plate provides a sturdy base for mounting vertically or horizontally on the head stock. The housings are securely fastened to the base insuring proper gear and worm alignment for accurate tuning. Bushings and screws included.

The PRL-8341 are a right-handed set of Locking RATIO® Calibrated Machine Heads for electric guitars that use 3 x 3 tuners, such as Gibson style and PRS style guitars. High quality SD90 tuners from Gotoh with brass posts and internal washers. Brass posts were used by Gibson® until 1975 and by Fender® until 1966. Unlike the common steel components, brass string posts and internal washers improve vibration transmission, resulting in a sound that is similar to the original vintage tuning machines. This 3-per-side metal oval button tuner set includes all bushings and mounting screws.

Machine heads without a sealed gear are criticized for not having the same smooth performance, efficiency and durability that sealed gear tuners have. The SD510 series solves these problems by combining “Rock-solid"™ technology and the post collar or: “self-center guide", found on enclosed gears in the base plate of the gear allowing the post to perfectly align itself with the bushing which attaches the gear to the headstock. The SD510 series uses a torque balancer to ensure steady rotation of the tuner button giving high quality sound performance as well as great functionality. Through it is use of the ideal materials selected for each component part you also obtain a far superior sound. 1:15 gear ratio.
